Light Your World



Growing up, one has lots of thoughts muddled up in the mind. Some will eventually find expression and see the light of the day. Some never would. They would be safely buried in the graveyard of the mind away from prying eyes of the waiting world.
What happens when a match stick is struck? It ignites and lights up objects around it. Passion that is not ignited is like a match stick in the match box. Nothing distinguishes it from the others. It safely lies in the match box oblivious of its potentials!
Once ignited, it becomes distinct and cannot be contained in the match box anymore. It burns and blazes. Providing warmth and light to the world.
What would ignite your passion? A write up? A sermon? An idea?  A thought?  An incident? An experience? An ant?  What would make your ‘space’ not contain you any more? Think about it
Dust off procrastination. See beyond your shadow. Be determined. Sow a seed to the world.

There is dignity in labour they say and this is because workers (taxpayers) expectedly contribute to the GDP of every country alongside entrepreneurs’.   As October 2017 begins to roll into history, I lend my voice to celebrate every girl child on the surface of the globe. She comes like a gift wrapped in beauty and grace with her potentials carefully enclosed in her buds. Her birth may not have been announced. Yet, like the bud of a rose flower, she blossoms and lets out innocent fragrance to a waiting world. Roses come in lovely shades of White, Pink, Red, Orange, Lavendar, Purple, Yellow, Blue, Yellow and Green. Likewise, the adolescent girl. She comes in various shades and colours. Packed with potentials and possibilities. Her relevance lies in her virtue and inner strength. Not in wanton desires. Her uniqueness lies in her innermost beauty, not in vanity. Her future is filled with hope, not just glitz. The power of the adolescent girl is unimaginable! She is the treasure of the unborn generation. The gold mine that must be tapped for a better world.

Growing up, I enjoyed drawing and sketching sceneries. Somewhere along the line the passion went into extinction and later metamorphosed into writing.
