Foundation fit for February and beyond

Foundation is the lower portion of the building in direct contact with the ground and it helps transmit the load from building to the ground thus making the building withstand storms and wind.

Imagine a builder. He is set to build but he starts digging downwards. He pours concrete, buries iron rods, casts the concrete floor slab and then starts building - block upon block daily until the building is ready for occupation providing the builder and his household warmth and shade from winter and storms.
The farmer desires a bountiful harvest of maize. He prepares his land by clearing, row by row he opens up the ground and buries the maize seeds. God sends the rains, the seeds sprout, soon the blade, the ear and then the full corn appears providing the farmer and his household wholesome grain for food.

Both the builder and the farmer are alike. They both laid good foundations for their desired expectations. It was Alan Lakein who said “Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.” Does that resonate with you?
It is never late to do something today to lay a good foundation for tomorrow. Tomorrow they say may be too late. Make preparations today for a brighter future. Right that wrong today. Build good relationships today. Finish up that book or painting today. Acquire that skill today. Take that step (bold or timid) today. Prepare for that meeting today. Make that contact today. Write and forward that proposal today. Register for that course or examination today. The list is endless. Simply put, take action today.

A good foundation guarantees a good future. Not just in February, but in years to come.
