Home – where the heart is
That feeling
when you are headed home after a seemingly long eventful, informative, exciting
holiday! The longing for home and mixed feelings for a fun filled holiday just
ended.
As an adult, your mind begins to re-adjust to your regular
routine. Early mornings, work and/or business schedules, tight
deadlines, daily commitments and the likes. You begin to remember
the 'atmosphere' before the holiday period…unfinished tasks,
unkept promises, outstanding debts, expected deliveries or
supplies. For kids it is different. The holiday and fun should
continue for all they care. Every other thing can be put on hold, including
school. The euphoria of holiday blinds a regular kid. Am sure you have been
there too.
As you
approach home, from deep within your fountains, thankfulness begins to
rise. Grateful to God for family. Friends. Household. Neighbours. Journey
mercies. Grateful for the familiar space called Home. The warmth you feel
when you touch things you own. The fondness and memories bring joy.
Home. Thank-‘full’-ness
. What's next?
